We're so honored that you've stopped by to get to know us better. We are Jeremiah, Brittany, Rhys, Brynn and John (pictured here).

Not only is John the previous owner of our vessel, he is also our wonderful friend. You can enjoy John's wild personality here and there on our YouTube series!
Brittany
first mate
Not only is Brittany the First Mate aboard Calypso, she's also a wife, mother, step-mother and business owner.
Before going sailing full-time, she studied business in college, owned 2 small businesses and she was an active step-mother to 4 children while her husband served in the Marine Corps. She has skillfully navigated family life in spite of her husband leaving for multiple deployments, family moves and other challenges faced in an active duty military family. Often on her own.

Her favorite activities include sailing, working out, cooking and enjoying sundowners with other sailors.
When asked what advice she'd give, her response is to
"Live for today because one day tomorrow won't be there."
Jeremiah
Captain
Along with being the Captain of Calypso, Jeremiah is a father of 6, retired U.S. Marine and a business owner. Before going sailing, he served on active duty for 22 years in the USMC as a F/A-18 Fighter Jet Engine and Fuel Systems Mechanic. He has held qualifications such as Plane Captain, CDI, CDQAR, QAR, Low and High Power Turn Instructor, AVGFE and Safe for Flight. He has deployed all over the world and has served in multiple combat zones. He retired at the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.

Once retiring, Jeremiah refocused on spending time with his family to make up for lost time while deployed over the years.
​
His favorite activities include hanging out with family, racing motocross, and working out.
When asked what advice he'd give, it's to
"Never quit, Never rest...Until the good get better and the better get best."
Rhys
Deck hand
Rhys was recently promoted to Deck Hand! He is currently in homeschool and enjoys it! His favorite subject is Science. He's also a brand new big brother!

He enjoys riding his dirtbike when we are on land, shooting bow and arrow, shooting his air-soft rifle as well as many more activities.
​
When asked what advice he'd give, his response is
"Have fun!"
BRYNN
SWAB
Brynn is the newest member of the Crew, joining in October of 2022. Her responsibilities include eating, napping and pooping.
​
She enjoys napping and making cute little noises.
​
At this time, she doesn't have a favorite quote. Mostly because she can't talk...yet.
